Deviance resolve 12.2 crashes

My deviance resolve 12.2 freezes soon after importing XML from FCPX and does not respond to optimisation.Will a paid version going to make any change in this?
I am using Mac pro late 2013,Memory 64 gb, AMD fire pro 700 with 8 core thunderbolt external hard drive.
Any help in this regard appreciated.
Is there any advantage of Deviance study Mac app over the one from black magic.
