Projects lost after updating to 12.3

Hi there,

i just installed the new 12.3 update. But after launching the software all my projects are gone. Resolve doesn't find any projects. So what can i do to get them back? Is there any possibility or maybe can i restore them by falling back to version 12.2?

What kind of databases do you have? SQL or DISK?

You probably haven't lost anything and may just need reconnecting the databases depending on how you have set them up.

Always backup your database + important projects before upgrading!!!

Time Machine was my friend. I just jumped back to before the update and backuped the database (disk).

But i can't find a possibility to backup the projects, due to even the "save as" command just produces a copy at the standard path.

For Disk database, time machine is a good backup process.

Wingis, it's not clear from your last post. Did you restore your database from time machine and now you see the projects on 12.3?

To backup projects simply use Export Project in the File tab...

Totally agree with this. After learning the hard way, I export a project file everyday at the end of the day to a different hard drive destination. Auto Save is on for every 20 minutes. I organize the projects into folder by weeks in the Project Manager. Also, I have a Carbon Copy Cloner scheduled to make an incremental back up of the RAID configuration at 2am everyday.
