Hello,
I'm trying to get through my first project for Youtube and when I try to playback an mp4a audio file from Media Storage or from the Media Pool, the output is extremely choppy and freezes the whole software. Meanwhile, video playback is smooth and I have no issue therefore I don't think the issue is due to the media putting too much load on my PC. Audio should usually be much easier to process then video.
The audio file was recorded using Windows 10 Voice Recorder.
I really don't know what is going on since I thought it was supposed to be very basic and simple operation, but obviously something is wrong. I noticed that when I'm experiencing the issue, the QTDecoder (32 bit) process in Windows 10 Task Manager uses about 35-45% of my CPU and about 1300 MB of memory which seems unusual.
Here is link toward a Youtube video capturing the complete issue with as much information and detail as possible:
Here is my system info:
OS: Windows 10 Home
System type 64 bit Operating System
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k 3.40Ghz @ 4.5Ghz
RAM: 16.0 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 670
Any help would be greatly appreciated even though I'm pretty sure I'll have to escalate to tech support.
Thank you to anyone taking the time to read the post and watch the Youtube video!
