Undeletable Folders - bug?

PostSun Apr 24, 2016 6:12 pm

I'm new to Davinci Resolve (I'm using the free version) and am experiencing a strange problem. Each time I run the program it creates a new folder in the Media drive. The folders aren't deleted when the program is closed and can't be opened or deleted from within Windows (Windows reports that the folders are no longer found despite the icons showing). I am unable to delete the folders at all (even from an administrative command prompt) and the number grows each time a run Resolve. In the end I had to copy out the data and format the drive. The folders, when created, usually have a 4 digit alphanumeric name ending in a .

A quick trawl of the internet shows that I'm not the only person to have this problem but I can find a work around. I've ended up having to uninstall the program until I can find a fix.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I'm running an i7 64 bit Windows 10 system.

I've been trying out the free version 12 running on 64bit Windows 10.
