EditShare issues?

PostThu Apr 28, 2016 5:58 pm

Has anyone had any issues or luck working from EditShare networked drives?

I am exporting an AAF from Avid with linked media that lives on 5 EditShare drives, and when I get to resolve to import the AAF, it says all 600 of 600 clips not yet found, even though all the drives are listed in the library?

I consolidated to a local drive as a test to make sure the AAF settings werent the problem, and it worked fine. Any ideas on getting the network drives to read properly?

I have had similar issues with Avid in an Interplay environment. It seems to be Avid database related. Avid creates a database file in the local media drive folders but not on a shared media networked drive. I don't know of a fix other than copying timeline related media to a local drive for grading.
