Save Titles in Resolve

PostSun May 01, 2016 7:06 pm

Is there any way to save/import/export a Title in Resolve 12.x? For example, I would like to create a few Title templates and be able to use them across my Resolve projects -- is this possible?

The way I work around this is I copy the contents of a Title to the clipboard, then use Dynamic Power Switching to paste this specific Title to a new Title clip in a different timeline.

You can drag the title from the timeline to a Power Bin which is shared across all projects.

It's a new feature in 12.5.

I looked for that in the manual and couldn't find it! Didn't know it was a Power Bin feature. <checking> Yeah, on page 227 of the 12.5 manual, they specifically talk about putting "slates" in as a preset Power Bin element, and that's why I missed it. I was looking for Title or Text. Silly me... :(

I agree with Joe -- I could really use a couple of preset slates. Always dodgy to retype those from scratch on every project.

It's not specific to Power Bins. You can drag any clip with its timeline properties/grades to a bin, and use it again and again.

When I drag clips from the timeline to a bin, I lose the grade. How retain it?
