The ColorTrace CDL import feature sets a keyframe at the original clip's in point on the new clip in the new timeline. This means that to apply CDL values to a timeline that has different in points and then successfully export these to an EDL or ALE, you must manually copy the grade to the first frame of each clip.
I'm doing a VFX return and the DI require an ALE and EDL with ASC CDL values embedded. But they also require a slate at the beginning which means all my comps are extended 1 frame at the start and so all my EDLs have default colour values in the return EDL/ALE for the ACS CDL fields unless you manually fix this.
This is quite frustrating as CDLs by their nature shouldn't have animation because only the first frame's values are exported. Any workarounds people know of?
Using Resolve 12.5b3 OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F1808).
Thanks,
