No OpenCL Acceleration Hardware Detected

PostTue Jun 14, 2016 5:50 am

I am new to Blackmagic products and this forum. So, I apologize if this question has been discussed before. I recently purchased a used BMPCC and downloaded the free version of the Davinci Resolve 12.5. On my current Toshiba laptop I am getting this error when I try to open the program. After some google searches I found that it is related to a graphics card issue. I am not aware of which graphic cards have OpenCL setting and I'm looking into purchasing a new HP laptop with the following criteria:
A10 Quad Core 2.90 GHz (Turbo) / 16 GB RAM / 750 GB / Radeon R6 Graphics

Would it be able to run the Davinci Resolve without any problem? Or should I keep looking? Any help with what graphic card(s) I should be looking at for purchase would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff
