Hi, I’ve been using DaVinci Resolve sporadically for an year. Unfortunately on my new editing laptop (1 day old) I have serious problem. It looks like DaVinci will freeze after few seconds of use. It doesn’t matter if I just go through menu or doing something else (e.g. like editing … whatever). Today I realize that it will not freeze … software is running but content of the DaVinci window is „frozen”. For example when it “freezes” and I click anywhere nothing happens (for example play video). But when I minimalize window and then maximize I see DaVinci playing the clip. I have tried several version 12.1, 12.5 beta and 12.5 always with the same result. On old laptop it works well (Windows 8.1). New MSI laptop is completely updated (windows, graphic driver etc.) and here is specification: MSI GT72S 6QE DOMINATOR PRO G, Windows 10 Home (64bit, version 1511, build 10586.420), Intel i7-6820HK, 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX980M (driver version 368.39) and the latest Davinci 12.5.0.052.
Any suggestion?
