Weird bug? Resolve 12.5 and windows 10

PostSat Jul 02, 2016 9:15 am

Anyone else with a custom built Windows workstation experiencing weird startup delay in Resolve? I double click Resolve 12.5 and it takes a good 10 seconds for the startup/loading screen to come up..

Windows 10 pro Fresh from the oven with all the correct drivers and updates installed
Resolve 12.5

Asus x99 Deluxe II
6950x
2 x gtx 1080
Samsung 950 pro
64GB 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM

This does not happen on Fusion or other applications from what I know

It doesn't matter if I format and reinstall everything.

I, too, sometimes have very slow splash screens. And on a somewhat related topic, if I close Resolve and then quickly relaunch it -- it will not launch at all. I need to wait for around 15 seconds before I can successfully relaunch. I suspect one or more Resolve process threads needs to fully-close or release itself from the operating system before a new instance can be initiated.

I similar problems on custom built workstation running Windows 10. The solution I found was to reboot the computer whenever I start seeing slowdowns.
