I work with a LOT of different kinds of footage
from many types of sources.. from iphones to archival sources to top of the line cameras
and I am often asked to deal with audio as well as picture
and even when I'm not I need to produce detailed documents for the audio team
12.5 has made great strides in audio handling (yay thx)
but I have a few requests for AUDIO:
1- in the MEDIA STORAGE can we get the same meta-data columns as in the Bins?
(bit depths, and audio rates, etc?)
2 - system wide can we get the audio codec type? (as they can often be different than the video codec?)
ProRes in an .mov container can have many different kinds of audio codecs
3 - ON THE FLY AUDIO CONVERSION - resolve seems to be the only edit system that will not convert from a lower (or higher) bitrate to the sequence bit rate... so everything that's not 48k stutters...
on this last one - I'm using a ultrastudio 4k card for embedded HDMI out
the card has realtime HD to SD conversions... but no audio? or am I wrong?
( hints are appreciated )
4 - can it be easier to get to track based plugins?
thanx
