|DaVinci Resolve lite keep crashing.. :(|

Hello, guys so when i drag my .mov file into Reslove and that works fine but when i click at the video it keep crashing it so anoying.. This is my computer " " Resolve said it good when i started it up..

Vram is RAM specifically assigned to your video card. So you could have 32Gb of internal Ram, but only a 512Mb VRam for the GPU.

I am not familiar with it, but I will say that Resolve is very power hungry when it comes to GPU's.

If you could get your hands on something like a Nvidia GTX 1070 or 1080 you'd probably be a lot happier with Resolve.

The other important thing is that the drive that your media is on should be pretty fast, this is especially true for 4K material.

i think your video card is way underpower for resolve, which recommends 4gb vram as a minimum.

also look at the rx 480 which i gather works well with resolve and is cheaper than its gtx competitor.

It may also be the CPU. BM don't test with AMD processors, and yours is 5 years old and may not contain instruction sets used by Resolve. Certain instruction sets such as SSSE3 have been in Intel CPU's since 2007, but not introduced into AMD CPU's until the generation after yours, so it may be down to some of these being missing that may make it crash
