NVIDIA GTX 880M or Intel HD 4600

My ASUS gaming laptop shows two display adapters:

1. Intel HD Graphics 4600
2. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M

When I run Resolve 12.5, Preference > System, which shows:

GPUs
Video Card 1: Intel HD Graphics 4600

I think GTX 880M is better, Is that right? How can I let DaVinci Resolve 12.5 to use GTX 880M instead of HD 4600?

Thanks.
Andrew

This problem is related to the OS and display adapter drivers, not the problem of Davinci Resolve.

In case someone else has the similar problem, I find the solution is as following:

1. Download and install the latest NVIDIA driver: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

2. Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > NVIDIA Control Panel

3. Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > Select a program to customize > Find the Davinci Resolve
If it doesn't listed, click Add > select "C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\resolve.exe"

4. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program > High-performance NVIDIA processor > Apply

5. Restart Davinci Resolve, the right adapter shows at System tab.

That doesn't always work. In the past when using a laptop that has both Intel and nVidia GPU's you had to add in some commands into the advanced preferences in Resolve.
Code: Select all
LsManager.3.NumGPUs = 1
LsManager.3.GPUMapping = 0
LsManager.3.GPUMappingEnable = 1
Local.GPU.Mode = CUDA
