Color Page - Power Windows Not Rendering, Artifacting
Posted: Wed Aug 17, 2016 3:26 amI'm a relatively new Davinci Resolve user (6 months, part time). I've edited and graded several smaller projects in Resolve 12 and now 12.5, and have been very impressed.
I've suddenly had a weird issue come up. When I add a power window to footage, the clip suddenly has strange random artifacting and distortion. The edits applied to the power window node do not affect the clip like they should. Even when I do an extreme edit, nothing happens. Here's an example of what I'm seeing:
This comes out in the final render too. As the clip plays it randomly glitches, working correctly only a few frames at a time.
I built my Windows 10 computer under a year ago, with a 4.20GHz processor and 16gb ram. I'm using Resolve 12.5, and tried the upgrade to 12.5.1, with no change. Basic graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 4600).
The footage is 8-bit H.264, 23.976 fps, 1920x1080. Shot with my Canon t3i. I tested with an mxf render, with same issue. If I need to give any more details let me know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
