Audio stops playing

I'm new into this software (v12.5.1034) but every time I add a video in the media section it start normal playing but after 5-6 seconds the sound disappear, it doesn't even appear in the meters area, like the video have not sound at all.

I'm having the same issue. Just downloaded the program today and am trying to edit mp4 video files of video game footage, but after a seemingly random amount of time the audio will stop playing and stop showing up in the mixer. This has happened to one clip while several were queued on a single track but the other tracks were still playing audio, and this has also happened with just a single clip on a single track.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to remedy this! Thank you.
