When I create optimized media from exr's in DNxHR 444 format, a few minutes after I use them on the timeline, they go offline. Viewers show "Media Offline".
Why do they go offline ?
It's big problem. EXR's are to big to play in realtime in the editor and optimized media go offline whilest working with it.
I don't know how to start working with Resolve with this kind of behavior.

How very odd.
Are you using a database or disk-based storage mechanism? (Maybe this isn't important anymore), but as a hunch, you may not have a good cache link within the Resolve user configuration.... Preferences... Media Storage.

Some of my media goes offline as well! In Media Pool and when adding selected clips to a timeline. They are offline.
These stay online: mp4 These show thumbnail picture and go offline after a short time: mts When offline, they show the offline thumbnail. the filenames are like date_4digit.mts
Are there issues with different codecs in a project or with mts files?

I'm having media off line issues also. random clips go offline when I check "use optimized media" but they are fine when not checked and using the original files. And only the optimized video is off line, audio plays. everything was working for a few days then this happened. Deleting render cash doesn't do anything. I just installed 12.5.5 and I'm on windows 10. any ideas?
I loaded footage from Canon C300 (so it's generally MPEG2 wrappes as MXF), I edited it, did some color corrections and exported. Everything OK. The next time I opened DaVinci, the project, all the media was offline. (I didn't change the media, nor the path) I've tried to relink the media ten times, but just with the result "no files were relinked"
The first few projects I did in Resolve allowed me to edit .mp4 h.264 without problem. After a few weeks I started to get media offline errors, and I found I could use ffmpeg to convert the file to .mov while leaving the contents unchanged and avoid the error. Now my convert to .mov has also stopped working. I have not updated Resolve or OBS, nor have I changed any of my capture settings.
I am extremely perplexed at how my situation seems to be continually getting worse? Like the others who have posted here, would love to see this problem addressed.
