Colorist Walter Volpatto at FotoKem shares insight about his color work with The Master using DaVinci Resolve Studio. Walter is the go-to colorist for leading directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan, and his credits include The Hateful Eight, Interstellar, San Andreas, CBGB, Chronicle and Hustle & Flow, to name a few.

Well then, death to PWs. The Master is gloriously free of the usual 100% plastic digital paint job .... And what a difference that makes. Watching the movie is actually enjoyable, the color and textures have real conviction.
