Bug: Lower Thirds title subheadline

PostTue Sep 06, 2016 3:01 pm

Hi,

I've just fiddled a bit with the Lower 3rd titles in Resolve 12.5.1.034 (Windows 7): When I use a background color for the lower third, the subheadline disappears behind the background color. With 100 percent opacity, it disappears completely.

I suppose this is not so intended. Or am I doing something wrong?

I've checked the same settings with Resolve 12.5 where it works flawlessly, so it must be a bug in 12.5.1

Happens the same in OS X. What's more, if I click on the button to enable/disable the background, Resolve insta-crashes. Other fields are fine though.

Edit: the OP's bug still happens in 12.5.2 but it no longer crashes on toggling the background enable/disable button :)

I had no problems with crashes under Windows 7 and 10 while enabling/disabling the background, but the other background-bug still persits: the second line disappears behind the background.

I'm still having this problem as well. The update didn't solve it for me. I'm on OS X and running 12.5.2

... and still the same in Resolve 15 beta. Even with the new title templates like "Plane behind text with shadow". Yes, the plane should be behind the text, but it isn't ...

How hard can it be?

Not that there seems to be any reason to expect this to ever get sorted at this point, but at least the thread serves as a "it's not you, it's Resolve" notifier so that people don't waste more time on this than necessary. It's still present in 15.2.2.

Just chiming in to say that this bug persists even now. Running 16.1.1.005 on Windows 10.

Try 16.2.1, it's fine there.

Although in the screenshot above, the Plane lower third example is a bit misleading as the text there is supposed to be blue.
