Compound

PostWed Sep 07, 2016 9:58 am

Hi all

If I have lets say 4 characters in my shot. Each character has 4 ext mattes driving it. This gets quite cluttered.

So I want to make, for each character, a compound node. I call each 1 2 3 4 ...Now when i open that compound node again, it expands...all good...the problem i am having is i have to click all the nodes within it to create the compound node again and it loses its name....is this correct???

Is there a way to save the compound setup for each character so that the desktop stays in order?

Many thanks
Sam

Hello, Sam,
you would want to use a show compound node command, rather than decompose compound node. Choosing to show it will allow you to operate on the individual nodes within the compound node without decomposing it.
