Resolve TEST Project (squeeze hardware)

PostThu Oct 13, 2016 2:21 am

Hi folk

I would like to know if someone can help, create and share a Resolve project,
for testing hardware:
Ex. CPU cores use, GPU power/capacity.
(many people want run test)

I using multiple nodes, mask. tracking LUTs. etc.

Also, share the settings inside Resolve (size of timeline, Playback optimize..etc).

As a suggestion, use these clips by RED, available to download

http://www.red.com/sample-r3d-files

This project use ONLY hardware squeeze purpose and enjoy too.

Thanks everybody.

Any reason why you can't make your own test?

Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thanks Uli,

Yes, I use this project, but the clip is H264, 2 seconds.

Really just I wanted a new project, native in version 12
and most "heavy" material to "force" the hardware.

Thanks

You could use that project as a base and just swap out the h264 source with an R3D source (or ProRes, Sony Raw, XAVC-I, etc). For a more extended test, you can loop the clip or for a Delivery test, just duplicate the clip in the edit page as many times as you would like.

I built a similar one a little while ago using R3D media and alternating the blur and NR across the clips to use as a delivery stress test for our 2013 MacPros when we were sourcing the cause of our render glitches.
