Filtre Clips from Reel name in EDL

I sometime grade multicam films from a simple videomixdown + EDL (instead of an AAF or XML roundtrip).
It takes way much time as the EDL do not allow to use the original clips name in order to Smart Filter them to group clips on the timeline per camera.
Still, the clip name is shown in the EDL Reel column from the Edit page.
Do you know if there is a way to use this precious info in the Color page to easily group clips ?
The smart filter palette only allows to use the Reel name from the clip properties wich is useless in this case as there is only one single clip for the whole movie.
A new filter option that would allow to use the Reel name in the EDL would be very usefull.
In the meantime, I haven't been able to find a workaround.
Anyone have a clue ?
