New MBP with BizonBox

I'm planing to buy new macbook pro with touch bar, and I was curios
because I want to buy bizonbox with gtx titan x

so my question is, should I think about maxed out gpu instaled in macbook or, because I will have external gpu it doesnt matter?

from what i have read the e-gpu is throttled by the connector, and a TitanXP is no faster than an older GTX980, i would carefully read some real world user reports and approach the vendor's claim with caution

Hey Dermot, can you post link to this info? I'm in Europe, and don't know anybody who uses such a setup so I don't have option to test out the config before buying :/
