Clone Toll vs ShotPut Pro?

I've got a quick Data Manager / DIT / VFX Consulting job to do for a short film. I'm expecting to deal with 2-4 hours of footage. One camera. Alexa Mini. Has anyone had issues using the Clone Tool in DR lately? I've seen some complaints posted but not recently (well over a year old). I'm wondering if the Newer versions 12.5.3+ have any issues. If persons are using it? I'm contributing my time to do this due to budget constraints and I don't want to by additional software. Is the Clone Tool in DR Studio good enough?
