Timeline is darkened

PostFri Mar 24, 2017 10:14 am

I wonder if I changed some settings or just hit the wrong button..

In the timeline all the audio is greyed out whenever no clip is selected.
Once I select a clip the audio timeline is "lit up" again.
Also the in and out points do the same thing for the timeline. (outside in and out is dark) Maybe this is just normal.

It feels like I'm working in the dark and I constantly need to select a random click to get a better overview.
What to do?

Hey,

Your screenshot shows that more than the audio is greyed out, and this is because you have I and O points on your TL. You have to wipe them out (alt + x on mac) to find colors back...
In addition, maybe some of your audio tracks are disconnected, check it out too.

Thank you Sam! Alt + X did the trick.
Plus I can now check / uncheck the little (<>) box to the right of the mute button in the A1 A2 A3 area to include the AUDIO tracks in the highlighted I and O selection.

I don't know why I was blind to that little box! ;) Thanks

I had the same problem and it solved mine too, still learning Davinci and I'm loving it!

Thank you!
