Effects don't render

Hello. I'm truly an amateur in video editing. I'm looking for a replacement for my beloved classic Windows Movie Maker (because the one for Windows 10 is awful) and tried with Resolve. It looks nice and and the basic tools easy to use, but when I render the final cut, the fade to black and the -3db at the end doesn't render. They appear on the timeline in the 'deliver' step. What could I be doing wrong?
