Mini Panel - pressing button during auto save causes crash

I've had several crashes resulting from auto-save happening when I press a button on the BMD Mini Panel. The auto save percentage bar stops and everything freezes. I have to force quit and restart Resolve when this happens.
Resolve Studio 12.5.5.026
OS X 10.11.6
Mac Pro 6,1
12 core
32 GB RAM
2 x d700

I have also had this happen. It doesn't happen often, but hopefully it will be fixed soon. I used to keep auto-save off years ago to prevent such a problem.

I swear, I'd love an Auto-Save button that said, "wait until 10 seconds of inactivity before saving." I hate it when it saves just as I'm about to make a critical adjustment, and I have to sit there for a few seconds (sometimes up to 15-20 seconds with a big session) to wait for it to finish.

yeah media composer does this doesn't it?

You could set this up using Keyboard Maestro.
You can build a pretty simple macro that waits until the computer has been idle for x seconds, and then either auto-saves or asks if you want to abort autosave. The idle interval would be user-specified.

Hi everyone!
Is there any news about fixing this? As an average, I easily lose 1 hour a day of work… The only solution I can guess is to program myself an alarm every ten minutes to save manually!!! That's ridiculous…

I've had to turn off Auto Save while working with the Mini Panel and just go back to my old habit of saving every time I move on to a new shot.

Upgrade to 12.5.6.
