Target File Size- adhering to data rate

PostWed May 03, 2017 8:42 am

It would be great ti have a target file size on the H264 export. I have made several exports calcualting the data rate to end up with a file for vimeo (standard account to limited to 500mb) and even my conservtive calculations are off. The files seem not to adhere to the data rate I set (the files get smaller but not as they should).

Does anyome else have this experience?

As an aside a target size would be usefull to get the max data rate for a fie based on sequence length when exporting.

Cheers

Hey Fred,

Same problem here. If you have no choice, try doing it on a Mac. It works there. And I am never happy when recommending a Mac...

Maybe the Blackmagic guys will use their magic to sort this issue soon :)
Just posted the same issue, maybe someone will tell us if we do something wrong or just give up hope.

Cristi
