Seeing "Display Name" on Subclips?

I LOVE the Display Name feature. Adding timecodes and keywords on this interview I'm cutting has been a dramatic time saver. However, some of the interviews are compiled in to a compound clip as I had to sync multiple audio and video. Subclips created from these, or created from cuts in the timeline do not take the Display Name. I can input it in clip properties but it disappears immediately. Not sure if this is a bug or I am missing some work around?
