Vertical line appearing in clips (UM4.6k)

Hello there.

I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on a problem I've encountered - I'm having an issue with certain clips in Resolve 12.5, in which a vertical line is appearing toward the right of the frame. It is present in the ungraded files and I'm at a loss as to why.

I've tested the clips in Premiere Pro & the line is not present, so it seems to be exclusively within Resolve. The footage is shot with the Ursa Mini 4.6K, ProRes 422 HQ.

Obviously I'd like to stay within Resolve if possible as I'm benefiting hugely from the GPU speeds & ease of grading compared to Premiere, but the vertical line issue is becoming a bit of a nuisance.

I've attached a still both flat & graded, the line is present in almost all of the clips from this particular shoot and the colour of it seems to shift depending on the frame e.g. darker colours the line appears blue, lighter colours the line appears more orange/yellow. It becomes barely visible or disappears if the frame is a very light grey...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Problem solved! In case anyone is curious I was advised to try rolling back my NVIDIA driver to 373.06. Vertical line completely gone now.

I had this problem the other day, played fine in premiere, but a vertical line in resolve (BMCC Prores HQ). I rolled back to a previous driver which did not work, then using latest GPU drivers switched to Open CL and it disappeared?

I am guessing its a Prores/Cuda issue with the latest Nvidia drivers.

Good afternoon. Have you solved the artifact problem of the line? I have the same problem. There is no problem in raw format. All ProRes (hq, 422, lt..) formats uploaded to the DaVinci show the artifact line, as well as after rendering.

OS: Windows 10, last version. Ryzen 1600, GTX 1060, Asrock x370. Camera: Bmpcc.

It is really work!
I just downloads first version of drivers from Nvidea site.
For my card is 376.09, first drivers.

Before installation it I delete old drivers. And my problem was solved! No artifacts!

BUT! Last version of Windows 10, automatically delivered the latest drivers. I did not find how to block the update. But old drivers work very well!

After Windows updated my driver to the latest version, when DaVinci was launched, my firewall requested access to "dpdecoder". I used to agree. But now I refused. And now even with the latest version of the drivers, everything works correctly. But I do not know what is "dpdecoder".

Believe this is our solution:

I wish I had seen this post earlier. I was working on an opening with DNxHD footage which manifested this issue in spades and then some. I ended up rerendering everything out of after effects as DPX sequences and cutting them back in in Resolve before figuring out the driver issue!

I also posted my own thread about this after having found that it was an Nvidia driver issue. Sorry to have not simply followed your thread.
