Hi,
Can a DVR dongle bought in USA work in India? It is a bit costlier in India.

I imagine it would, but why?

You are aware the dongle license is being phased out, correct?

Do you have a Dongle? Sorry, stupid question on my part - I'm assuming you have a Dongle from the USA and are trying to use it on a machine in India, correct?

Did the dongle work with Resolve Studio 12.5?

If you are new to Resolve do not download the Studio version.

Studio version requires a dongle as it stands, this will be phased out later in replacement for a licensing system.

So if you already own a dongle ( which I doubt), use the Studio version else try the Lite version which has almost everything that you will need.
