Media Offline

PostSun May 28, 2017 5:08 pm

First of all, thanks to BM for making Resolve possible.
I just switched from Mac to PC and Resolve makes the switch a bit easier.

In the beta I however do have a weird problem.
Everything is pretty fast on my XPS15 DELL, however I constantly see flickers of "MEDIA OFFLINE" also in the final render.

This is always between clips, when I cut or change just a slight part of the clip it seems to solve this. Files are straight from a Sony A6500 or A7RII. It plays everything perfectly on 25fps in Beta3, Beta2 needed a small period to adjust.

Because the flickering "Media offline" However resolve is now unusable.
I could create optimized media but because we edit a daily vlog and tips videos it doesn't really make sense in time management.

Hope someone has an suggestion.

Our workflow is H264 in and YouTube 4K out.

I was using Resolve 12.5 very nicely with 4K 24P files from my a6500, but then I began to have intermittent problems with "Media Offline" messages at times. I have recently upgraded to 14b5 now, and it seems that everything is Media Offline.

This can't be an issue of video files from the a6500 never work, since they were working so well previously. Is there a known fix to this problem yet?

I had the flickering Media Offline problem with a 1080 50p edit. Traced to an external drive not being able to spit out the video fast enough. Project transferred to a faster internal drive and all worked perfectly.

B5 seems to have solved it.
I was editing of the internal ssd.
It was a weird problem but it seems to be gone now.
