Video Length Not Matching After Auto Scene Detection

PostWed Jun 21, 2017 7:01 pm

So, I'm trying to get my timeline from Premiere into Resolve. After learning that merged clips in Premiere cannot be sent over to Resolve, I export the entire timeline to an .mp4 in h.264 at 23.976 fps. When I import this file into Resolve, it recognizes it at 24 fps for some reason, but if I set the timeline to 23.976 fps, and put the clip in, it is the right length (01:25:22:09).

However, after doing automatic scene detection, the length of the film changes. When I drag all the clips into the timeline, it is 01:25:17:20, and when I create a new timeline using the clips (unchecking empty timeline), it is 01:25:08:00, but neither are the right length. It's important that the length remains the same because I need the audio (that I'm doing in Audition) to sync up when I bring it in. Any ideas?
