Move Selection Up or Down?

PostMon Jun 26, 2017 9:47 pm

There are times when I press V to select an edit (or Shift V to select a clip) and the selection happens on a track other than the one I want. For example I want to select an edit on V2 but when I press V the edit on A1 is selected.

I know I can use the track Auto Select controls to turn off/on which tracks are available for selection, but that can get very tedious when working with a lot of tracks.

So is there a way to jump the selection up or down a track? For example, an edit on A1 is selected. Pressing let's say Alt Up Arrow, moves the selection to nearest edit on the track above, V1. And pressing Alt Up Arrow again will move the selection to the nearest edit on V2. And pressing Alt Down Arrow moves the selection to the nearest edit on the track below.

Does this functionality currently exist?
Resolve 14.3 Studio. GTX 970 with GeForce 390.77 driver. Desktop Video 10.9.10. Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0. Windows 10 Pro.

I'm not aware of such a shortcut.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
