Snapping shortcut key doesnt work?

PostTue Jun 27, 2017 2:50 am

The Resolve 14 manual states you can hit "N" to turn snapping on/off. To put it simply, that doesnt work. Nothing happens.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Im using Resolve 14b4 on Sierra 10.12

Using 14b4 on Windows 10, and N does turn on/off snapping.

One thing I've noticed is that some shortcuts no longer work if they are assigned to different pages. For example Ctrl W is assigned to Selection Follows Playhead on the Edit Page. But it's also assigned to Show Reference Wipe on the Color Page. For some reason Ctrl W does work on the Color Page, but it won't on the Edit Page.

You could go into Project Settings... Keyboard Mapping... Timeline and see if N is designated as the shortcut, and if there are any warnings next to it.

But again, on my machine running 14b4, N works. Hope that helps a bit.
Resolve 14.3 Studio. GTX 970 with GeForce 390.77 driver. Desktop Video 10.9.10. Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0. Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks! Must be a bug. The "N" key was not designated at all in the keyboard settings and snapping had no key assigned to it. So I assigned N as the shortcut key, but it still didnt work. Had to quite Resolve and re-open Resolve and then it was working. Strange. Never seen so many bugs in a piece of software. Almost nothing works like it should :( Really hope BMD gets things ironed out.
