Adding .Gif

I know this might sound stupid or something but ive never used a program like this or edited something.So heres my problem,i cant add gifs,everytime i choose it to add it,it doesnt show up or say anything,just blank nothingess,like i never tried to add something.

Most editing suites I've worked with treat GIFs as a single frame image.
To include an animated GIF you need to convert it to a video file. There are several online converters that will accept a GIF upload and convert it to MP4 just use Google to find a Gif to MP4 converter.
Download the MP4 File and insert it into your video project.
