applying effects to text?

PostThu Jul 20, 2017 8:42 pm

Hi,

I would like to add effects (like some sort of blur) to a text and keyframe it. How can I do it?

Thanks, Andreas

Last time I checked, there's no way to keyframe effects, and the only way I've found to apply effects to titles is to put the title in a compound clip. Now you can apply the effect to the compound clip, but when you do that Resolve will basically put a black background on the text. Changing the composite mode of the compound clip to Screen will effectively make that black background transparent.

thx. I tried. Problem is: shadows, outlines are lost with the compound clip.

There are partial solutions, discussed in another thread some weeks back. Try a search.
