Export h264 'recording failed'

PostFri Jul 21, 2017 9:10 am

I've updated everything

Source files are standard Canon MOVs.

This used to work, no?

DXxHD 444 for example works as a render, but gives me 30GB video. MPEG4 Render wanders off during rendering, saying it will take 4 days to finish.

DXxHD 444 3% of video rendered, already at 4GB. I need crappy pedestrian H264, why doesn't it work?

Still works fine. If you want an h264 , click on the render settings in the deliver page, click custom, select h264 under the codec tab, check that the other settings are to your liking, add to render queue and start render. If Mpeg 4 says days the problem is with the other settings. I export Mpeg4 (which is h264) 1080 50p at 35Mbps and it takes roughly 15mins for a 10 min graded edit. :)

Nop, still doesnt work. Windows 7, Resolve Beta latest, just doesnt export h264 from project Dx HR HQX mov. files. Always the same 'recording failed' error.

this only happens with win7 and 8.1. you will not see the issue on win10. that's one of the reasons, why BMD strongly recommends a more actual windows version for resolve.
