Cannot pan in monitors while zoomed in

PostMon Jul 24, 2017 8:40 pm

I have searched the forum extensively as well a google searching.
I cannot click and pan around in the monitor windows in resolve while zoomed in.
I am using resolve 14 studio beta 5 on a PC using a logitech two-button mouse with scroll wheel.
Everywhere I read that people use the middle button which I do not have,
and the scroll wheel does NOT work as button to click hold and drag to pan.
The wheel while being turned does zoom however.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
Simon.

AFAIK, you need a middle button. I know on my laptop there was a registry entry that I had to add to make pressing both the left and right buttons *together* act as a middle button. It's kind of clunky but it's worked well enough, as I do the most work on my desktop PC which has a mouse with a middle button/scroll wheel.

I even got me a cheap PC mouse for my Mac to do this, and it works fine.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Spent the better part of my morning digging through the windows registry with no luck. Even downloaded logitech drivers. Perhaps an issue with the mouse.
I eventually found out that holding alt while scrolling performs horizontal adjustment and ctrl the vertical adjustment. So middle click wheel doesn't work, but I got it figured out for the most part.
Still lots to learn with this program.
Cheers,
Simon.

That's good to know about holding down Alt and Ctrl.

BTW, this is what I did for my laptop. But it's specific to Synaptic touchpads.
