UI improvements

I took my time to show, how we could gather screen real estate in Davinci Resolve. Especially on a laptop this would bring us a lot ( bigger player or more tracks ). The same on the color page. In the image I have mentioned four proposals:
-Screen realestate ( menu bar, page switcher, player controls, tool bar ). I made a simulation how it could look like (It's not perfect, but it gives you an idea).
    -Clip color indicator
It would help to observe the selected clip color directly on the clip in the image view ( colored border )
    -Clip usage indicator
It would also help to observe, if a clip was already used (once or several times) in the image view of the media pool) dynamicly without updating manually
-Undo and Redo button in the toolbar. I know we have the undo history, but we also have icons like the blade, trimmer, etc. Why not to have these buttons? (I did not mention it in the image)

I'm aware that these are no bugs, but in my humble opinion it would improve the user experience a lot.

I still can't believe with this huge Resolve 14 update they haven't included more UI customization. Like disabling preview(source) screen to have more real estate or move around tabs like Metadata, Effects to different locations. Do you think that will ever be an option?

Resolve 14 is certainly a big under the hood update. Fairlight is completely new to the family. I think these things have the priority for the moment. Nevertheless I think they should pay attention to UI optimizations.

+1 ...marked clips in the pool, that are used in a timeline (or the actual timeline) is very convenient in premiere. Hope this will be in 14 or 14.x.

The function to change the order of clips in a bin by drag and drop would be a second wish. It makes rough cuts much easier....

As soon as possible, especially for large monitors - in my case 32". In this space you can draw a whole lot of tool icons e.t.c. , or at least add options to choose interface for beginners and advanced.
In my opinion for an experienced user, no number of icons in the interface would be "overloaded".
"Smaller Tool Icons and Bars eventually collapse it, if not needed" - IMMEDIATELY !!! ;)

As an example my post: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=58534&start=50#p347026

+1 for all of this

Editing is near impossible on 1920x1080 on PC unless you want to scroll your life away. :)

Not to mention DaVinci STILL lacks a way to have your second monitor as a full screen viewer. How long have we been asking for that? :)

Avid and Premiere will have DaVinci beat hands-down but I want that to change! I love DaVinci!

+1 This would help to win real-estate especially in the timeline with a lot of tracks. It would be nice to detach the video viewer and move it to another screen. The timeline should automatically grab the free space. In my opinion a no-brainer. Same on the color page. Perhaps the toolbars could be collapsed/expanded by a key-command. In general a unconsolidated window architecture would be nice. Then we would be able to put the tools/views where we want. Key command consolidate/unconsolidate.

I made an example:

While we're on the subject of UI, both Resolve and Fusion need customisable scaling. Right now they both scale x2 on hi-dpi monitors which is way too much and makes Resolve look like it is designed for children and on a UHD 32" monitor gives an incredible amount if wasted space. It's been this way for going on 18 months. Adobe had this nailed 3 years ago and them lot are useless.

Would love to be able to turn off the source monitor or at least shrink it down. I never use it. I had a quick play with 14 and didn't see an option.

Workspace> Single Viewer Mode

So much that is complained about already exists!
