Power window problem

PostThu Aug 10, 2017 7:36 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a vignette using a power window, which I have done many times before, but now for some reason it's not working. Here's what happens:

- I create a new serial node after my primary grade
- I make my adjustment (i.e. reduce exposure etc)
- I select a circular power window....

.....and this is when things go wrong - selecting the power window make my adjustment dissapear. It still shows that I have made an adjustment next to the node, but the preview window image goes from darkened (as per my adjustment) back to what it was with just the primary grade. If I switch the power window off again I get my adjustment back. It's like it turns my node off.

I'm sure I have probably selected or switched something off by accident, but after hours of trying I am no closer to a solution.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Do it the other way round: define your window and then make adjustments.
Or feed the mask from another node.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Hi Graham.

This sounds strange. I can't think of any miss-pressed setting that would cause this.

What version are you using?
Does it behave this way in a new project?

hector.
