Install problems

I get an unrecoverable error in windows command prompt as it installs This lists a few errors but only for a split second. This is in all versions of Resolve The latest version though does open the Project screen If I then click on a project nothing happens as the program is no longer running.
On version 12 I get cuda is missing.
I have turned off Norton security and windows firewall isn't to blame I've tried running as administrator and used windows file compatibility For some reason the install just wont work and that includes my old install.
The program runs fine on a really cheap laptop that isn't good enough to work with!.

System specs for my MSI GT70
windows 8
Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-4700MQ CPM @ 2.40GHz
Ram 24 GB

TIA

Mark

In a File Explorer window, go to this path:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

And run CaptureLogs.

That will create a log file that you can post to a file sharing site and provide a link to here.

It looks like it's generally not crashing until you attempt to load a project.

What NVIDIA driver do you have installed?

Hello Dwaine, I seem to be having a similar problem. I try to open the program and I get the error message: "Davinci Resolve has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I have tried to uninstall the program and it is no longer listed in my uninstall programs. But the icon is still on my desktop and in the programs directory. I also tried reinstalling the update but it will not reinstall. Can you help me out please? I have attached the link to the log file.

What NVIDIA driver are you using?

What exactly happens when you try to reinstall?

You might try this Microsoft Fixit to see if that fixes the install issue:

376.53 does not seem to be a currently available driver in the Old/Beta list for GEForce or Quadro cards.

I would advise getting the current driver for your 760 card from the NVIDIA Driver Download site:
