Having the same problem here. Works very seldom.
Trying to optimize Canon EOS M3 mp4 files that play smoothly in other editing programs but jumps frames and stutters badly in ver14.
I thought optimizing would fix the problem however the process crashes 95% of the time.
I would really like to fix the mp4 issue. MOV files play OK. Version 12 was no problem.
Cheers

Same! Was looking for B6 again because B7 is basically unusable for my video files.

i also have most beta-14 versions and a few recent 12 releases for windows and linux available and could share it on my servers, if needed.

but i would also like to know, what's BMD position concerning installer redistribution resp. what should be seen as acceptable by them?

i'm asking, because i use a private GitLab project to host my scripts for repacking resolves linux releases into dpkg-packages. it generates this kind of artifacts automatically by GitLabs continous integration (CI) and distribution (CD) capabilities and makes them available as private debian repository on GitLab pages, but of course this process needs [non human] access to original resolve installers and it's highly questionable, if BMD would accept/tolerate public access to repacked experimental installers of their product?

Optimized media and choppy MP4(H-264)

14b7 is unusable for me but I have tried many times to go back to 12.5 with no luck.
I'm good at registry hacking (Windoz) to remove blocks to install older versions, but for some reason I can't go back, there is always a dll issue.

If BM is serious about attracting the consumer base then they need to improve on the installer experience. I wan't to buy version 14 when it is finalized but with the problems I'm having (no issues with ver12) I need to go back to 12 ASAP.
Anyone have a sure fire way to re-install Ver12 after having 14 installed... gasp.

Here's my crash report if BM is interested regarding MP4 optimized medis.

Same problem here, it crashes aroun 20-30%. With short clips it goes thru ok.

I'm in love again.....
14b8 seems to have fixed the optimization issues I was having. Optimized 23, Mp4 (H.264) clips no problem.
However, I noticed that doing this in the MEDIA window did not solve my MP4 stuttering.
When I optimize the same clip in the EDIT window, the stuttering was fixed.
So both problems for me have been resolved.
BMD needs to check why there is a difference between the MEDIA and EDIT window optimization.
Cheers.
