Crash To Desktop - Yi 4k files

PostTue Aug 29, 2017 11:51 am

Hi,

i have filmed some Clips with die "YI 4k plus" action cam from YI Technology. The cam produces MP4 files with a h.264 codec.

I've used Resolve 14 beta 7 and as soon as i click in the media storage tab on a folder which contains one or more clips from that camera, Resolve crashes to desktop. I cannot import the clips.

Then i tried the new beta 8 version, but it's the exact same behavior with a ctd at the end.

I have a Windows 8.1 64bit pc, and all other clips (Pocket Cinema Camera, Cinema Camera, Production Camera, Sony a7s) are working fine as expected.

Is this a known issue, or is there a workaround, or simply a bug?

Greeting,
Markus

I had the same thing happen with Yi 4K files today. Unfortunately, I just downloaded Resolve and didn't have autosave enabled. Had to export the files out of Premiere in a different format.
