Finally decided to move from DR12.5 Studio to DR14b8 Studio and use it to finish a TV commercial.
Everything worked relatively OK and i enjoy the new tool additions and UI improvements. Unfortunately i reached a brick wall when i finally was about to render an H264 video for the client.
When using the Custom Settings and
Format: Quicktime Codec: H.264 Quality: Automatic / Best
The rendering stops after a few frames returning a "Recording failed with Error:Failed to encode the video frame."
When i change Quality to: Restrict to ####, the rendering finishes but the resulting H.264 looks horrendous no matter what the Kb/s i choose. The resulting H.264 has always the same file size as if the Kb/s setting is ignored.
Is this something that others are dealing with?

Returning on this issue 8 hours later with a partial solution.
So, not being able to find a solution to my frustration, I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 even though i still use some old audio hardware that doesn't support Win10 with drivers.
So... Resolve now does render correctly the H.264 (!!??!!)
Still can't find the VP9 codec or the multi pass settings though as described in the Resolve b8 manual.
