Resolve 14 upgrade won't open

PostFri Sep 15, 2017 2:09 pm

I upgraded 12.5 to 14. Resolve 12.5 opened fine (But I haven't been able to use do to lac of codec support :( ) but version 14 on the other hand won't even open. I click on it, it acts like it's about to open, and then nothing. That's all I've really got... I don't know why it would do this at all. I'm on Fedora 25 with up to date graphics driver on a GTX 1060. Has this happen to any of you?

Hi Micah! Difficult to say without more info. Try this as a start:

- Open terminal
- Execute /opt/resolve/bin/resolve
- Watch terminal output for errors
Shoot - BMCC | BMPCC | BMPCC4K | BMVA | GH5
Edit - Resolve Studio 18.1 | Debian Linux 12 | i7-3930K CPU | X79 MB | 32GB RAM | GTX1080 GPU | Speed Editor
Monitor - Decklink SDI, SDI Duo, SDI 4K, Intensity Pro

Hey Daniel,

Thanks so much for the reply!

Here's what I get: *** Error in `/opt/resolve/bin/resolve': realloc(): invalid old size: 0x0000000010d9e6c0 ***

There was A BUNCH of other stuff, but that's all I could find as a strait up error. Some of it pertained to Nvidia, I'm wondering if maybe that's where my problem lies. I just did some digging, and it appears my GPU driver is a little older (375.66) and the latest appears to be 384.69. I don't know if my current one is too old than, what driver are you running?
