Now that we have V14 - how about local Language support

PostSat Sep 23, 2017 11:24 am

Hi,

now that we have Version 14 of Resolve it is time for a local Language support - Localization.
Today I requested my Activation License Key and had to adress the USA support function since there was no German support function and no local language support.
Further more localization is pretty much appreciated as well as having the Resolve Manual in local Language.
Some languages are supported as far as I could see e.g. Spanish, Italian, Chinese why not German ?

Do you seriously want a translation into German like the one for Adobe's After Effects or Premiere Pro?

I'm German too, but if you work in this industry, you should have a decent command of English.

(And I envy the Dutchman with 6 languages, but I'm trying my 5th now).

At $299 it's very affordable for non professionals or other people out of "the industry".
Some of them could benefit of the localized versions.

Yeah, but who is translating 1.300 pages for free?

The only program I know with a broad support of other languages by decent translations is Cinema4D.
(But check the price)

You can see the nightmarish results with scripts not functioning in other language version any more.

I once accidentally installed the Finnish version of Photoshop and... I'm not making that mistake again.

I switch all my Adobe software to English, even if my OS is German.
The translations are awful!
