No More Clip Mode for the Mixer?

PostMon Sep 25, 2017 2:08 am

I've looked in the 14 Reference Manual, can't see any mention anymore of Clip vs Track Mode for the Audio Mixer. Is that right, is this functionality gone? And do we have to use the Inspector instead?

I'm probably missing something and would appreciate any input. Thanks so much!

You are correct. With the new Fairlight audio you have clip volume and a 4 band EQ in the inspector.
The mixer is only track based.

I miss it, but it's probably just a matter of getting used to using the inspector instead.

One thing I really hope you guys add to audio on the Edit and Fairlight pages is the ability to constrain audio edits to whole frame increments. Sub frame editing is a great option to have. But right now it's way too easy to inadvertently to trim/move/key frame audio to in between frames. This can cause a lot of problems down the road, and also make for a messy looking timeline.
