Is there anyway to add anti-aliasing to text in Resolve?

PostMon Sep 25, 2017 1:12 pm

Have to say the more I use this program the more I love it, however I've just tried adding some text (I'll be adding lots at different points) and it looks really bad:

Is there anyway to smooth the edges or add anti-aliasing please? I know I can do it in Photoshop and then import it, but that's going to be a pain if I have to do that every time I'd like to add text.

Thanks!

Are you in v14?
Is the text generated inside resolve?

Generating text in resolve is still poor unfortunately. I'll hazard a bet that you have got field processing enabled as this makes text look very poor indeed. It's been an issue since text was added to resolve.

Thank you! Yes I'm using v14 and the text is being generated inside Resolve.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I disable field processing?

Project Settings > Master Settings > Timeline Format > Enable video field processing (disabled by default)
⟦ Mac Pro 7,1 Rack ⊕ 16-core 3.2GHz ⊕ 32GB RAM ⊕ Radeon 580X • Resolve Studio 19.0 • macOS 14.4.1 ⟧

I've had a similar issue and thought it was a bug...
It was just me adding sharpness in a node to the whole timeline.

I think Resolve should allow us to choose if titles will or not to be affected by grading nodes.
