Color Range for LED Video Wall

PostSun Oct 01, 2017 9:09 pm

Hi everybody,

I was asked to grade a Trailer that will be played on a LED Video Wall and online as well (Youtube f.e.). So now I am unsure if the Grading has to be in full or legal. This is the first time I am doing a Grading for a Video Wall.
The promoter wasn't able to answer this question so far.
I am thinking of grading in full because of the online utilisation. And so far I haven' t come across a statement a that LED Video Wall needs a legal color range.

What do you think?

Thanks and kind regards
Rene

Its very likely you should use video levels, not full.

Of course, the best way is to render 30 sec of color bars in both and see how they look on the target screen.
