Add functions in ouput blanking selection

PostMon Oct 16, 2017 9:14 am

- It is possible to add marker in selection of output blanking because i never know which one is selected by my team and for future render.

I agree. A checkmark next to the active option would make a lot of sense.

I agree, a simple fix for a useful visual clue!

This selects a preset which you can then modify so it’s not a setting.

In that case, the addition of a Custom entry along with the checkmark would solve the current problem.

This selects a preset that you can then edit, so it's not a parameter.
Ok but presets are standards that are practical for standardized renders.
Would not it be possible to have a checkmark of the preset and in case of modification in OutPut sizing, the check disappears.

Hi

Required here 1.37, and why not personal ratios ?

1.37 would be a welcome addition. Along with the 2.2 (70mm) aspect.

You can of course make custom blanking in the output sizing, blanking palette. Save the ones you make as system default config or project default. Just simple math based on your horizontal and vertical pixel count.

Nice.

Now...how do we get those presets to appear in the drop down list under Timeline>Output Blanking?

Oh this isn't workable at all.

Not only do we not get a checkmark to see which preset is active, not only do the presets we create not show up on the list of presets, but choosing a preset from the drop down won't override what we've done on the Color page, it'll add to it.

There's a lot of great things to love about Resolve, but there's also a lot of these little things that I do believe need a serious rethink.

As a final note, I do want to add that in addition to the standardized 1.37 and 2.2 aspect ratio presets requested for the drop down list, we also need those presets added to the cameras.
